Machines That Dream. Paintings That Resonate.

We invite you to a unique retrospective exhibition celebrating the work of renowned Czech artist Václav Jíra (born 17 December 1939 in Louny), taking place from 19 November to 4 December 2026 at the Mánes Exhibition Hall in Prague.

The exhibition will present a journey through the artist’s lifelong creative work – from constructivist paintings and kinetic objects to sculptures and landscape paintings.

The exhibition will also feature works inspired by music, where rhythm and melody are transformed into visual compositions. Through these pieces, the artist revisits and freely reinterprets the themes of machinery and scrap metal that have long characterised his constructivist paintings.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover an exclusive selection of limited-edition interior design pieces by MUNNA DESIGN and GINGER & JAGGER.

Among the highlights will be the illuminated Candy armchair, presented as part of an exceptionally rare worldwide edition of just 12 pieces, including piece No. 2/12.
