Modeled with anatomical precision, the animal performs a piaffe with one leg elegantly raised. Handcrafted in matte black porcelain, its deep tones are enriched by darker black accents and touches of golden luster.
The ornate details highlight its ceremonial character. The saddle, bridle, breastplate, and blanket are lavishly decorated with golden luster. Metallic elements such as bits and stirrups combine brass with gold plating and silver tones for refined contrast. The reins and stirrup leathers are made from genuine leather, enhancing realism.
The saddle’s technique is particularly remarkable: brown enamels mixed with metallic pigments are applied using a drag technique to replicate the look and feel of aged leather. The base, evoking dark earth with brown enamel and metallic highlights, anchors the sculpture with depth and strength.
